Arthur's Historical Murals
Take a self-guided tour of four murals that mark important events in Arthur’s history. The Pioneer mural depicts the arrival of early settlers. The Jones Baseline mural shows surveyors, led by Augustus Jones, reaching the Conestogo River in 1792 and the signing of the agreement establishing the northern border of the Six Nations land grant. The Cenotaph Park mural thoughtfully reflects that “Freedom isn’t Free” & a three-panel mural honours the contribution Arthur citizens made to Canada’s participation in military conflicts.
