This sweet project is the official recipe book to The Butter Tart Trail™, created in association with the Mount Forest Junior C Patriots.

The 43 page recipe book is a compiled listing of Wellington North resident’s favourite recipes, including Cakes & Pies, Squares & More, For the Kids, Cookies, Dessert Drinks and, of course, Butter Tarts!

Who doesn’t like a rich, decadently-sinful butter tart and now you can not only discover many variations on the 100km road tour, but you can also try making different variations at home.

“It’s a great way to get our residents involved with The Butter Tart Trail™, not only by having submitted their family recipes, but also to support a local organization,” said April Marshall, Tourism, Marketing & Promotion Manager for the Township of Wellington North.

100% of the proceeds of the cookbook go directly to the Junior C Patriots. The cookbooks are $10 each and can be purchased at the following:

Mount Forest – JJ McLellan & Son, Spoil Me Pets,The Raven’s Rune, Country Creations

Arthur – The Plumber’s Wife, Labelle Flowers

Books can also be purchased through the Township of Wellington North office in Kenilworth, as well as, the Kenilworth Country Kitchen.

In addition, the Dessert Recipe Book is also being given out as a prize to those that participate in the Butter Tart Trail™ Passport program, when 12 of the 16 stops are visited.
